This Valentine’s Day February 14th 2025, the spirit of love extended beyond the usual celebrations, with a powerful act of kindness towards our planet. A CBD cleanup exercise was flagged off by CECM for Lands, Housing, Urban development & Energy Hon. Nathaniel Nganga, accompanied by the Chief Officer,
Municipal Manager and MIT Principal in a vibrant display of community spirit and environmental care.
The initiative, aimed at restoring the cleanliness and beauty of the central business district, was a timely reminder that love for our environment is just as vital as love for one another. Volunteers from the County government together with our students and staff gathered to lend a hand in removing waste and debris, leaving the streets cleaner and the atmosphere more harmonious.
The cleanup was not just about tidying up the city, but also about fostering a sense of responsibility towards our shared homeโPlanet Earth. By choosing Valentine’s Day for this meaningful activity, participants celebrated love in a way that truly countsโthrough tangible action and a commitment to preserving the environment for generations to come.
In a sweet gesture of appreciation, participants also handed out rose flowers to students and ladies in town, spreading love and joy while contributing to a cleaner, greener community.
