MIT Fashion & Design Students Shine at Kenya Fashion Week!
We are thrilled to celebrate our talented Fashion and Design students, Tony Mutua and Glory Munywoki who made an unforgettable mark at the Kenya Fashion Week students edition held at Sankara Hotel, Nairobi.
Among students from leading fashion schools and universities across Kenya, our very own emerged at the top a true reflection of MIT’s commitment to creativity, skill, and excellence.
Tony Mutua – 1st Place Winner with his breathtaking Denim & Kitenge collection.
Glory Munywoki – 2nd Place Winner with her striking Sisal & Kanga design.
Their innovative creations captivated the audience and impressed an elite panel of judges, the crème de la crème of Kenya’s fashion industry among them Lucy Rao of Rialto Fashions, Sue Muraya, Jessica Colaco, and Isabel Achila.
This recognition not only celebrates Tony and Glory’s talent but also reinforces MIT’s reputation as a powerhouse of skill-based education and creative excellence.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to our Fashion & Design tutors, led by the Head of Department Ms. Emmah Wamuhu, for their patience, mentorship, and unwavering guidance throughout the students’ journey from pattern-making to perfecting their runway-ready designs.
