DCHD 4000: Diploma in Community Health and Development

This is a one and half year course whose objective is to equip students with knowledge and skills and knowledge on patterns of diseases, organization and administration of different health services that may be provided to the community. At the end of the course, students are expected to be skilled and knowledgeable in the following areas:

DCHD 4012: Epidemiology and Control of Communicable Diseases
DCHD 4013: Law and Community Health
DCHD 4014: Health Management and Administration
DCHD 4015: Resource Mobilization, Management and Fundraising
DCHD 4016: Computer Skills and Information Communication Technology
DCHD 4017: Attachment and report
DCHD 4018: Project paper


  • Minimum qualifications are KCSE C- or KCE Div. 2 or the equivalent or 3 years experience in Community Development activities.
  • Certificate in Community development, Social development, Social work, Community Health, Counseling and Psychology.
