CCH 500: Certificate in Community Health


This is a one year course, whose objective is to equip students with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to appreciate the relationship between knowledge and values to health problems and produce Community Health workers who can appreciate the roles of other professionals and involve them in the search for solutions to Health problems.

CCH 509:     Communicable Diseases.
CCH 510:     Environment and Health
CCH 511:     Law In Community Health.
CCH 512:     Basic Microbiology & Parasitology.
CCH 513:     Community Health Techniques.
CCH 514:     Counseling Skills.
CCH 515:     Field Practicum And Report
CCH 516:     Project (Not Teachable In Class; Supervisory Unit)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum qualifications are KCSE D or KCE Div. 2 or the equivalent
  • Course open to Beginners, Community development workers, Welfare officers and Fresh students
