DP 3400: DIPLOMA IN PSYCHOLOGY

This is a one and half year course whose objective is to equip students with skills and knowledge in psychology and the biological basis of behaviour. At the end of the course, students are expected to be skilled and knowledgeable in the following areas:

DPSY 3407: Human Growth and Development.

DPSY 3408: Counselling Skills.

DPSY 3409: Social Psychology and Personality.

DPSY 3410: Abnormal Behaviour and Comparative Psychology.

DPSY 3411: Sociology.

DPSY 3412: Perspectives and Bio-psychology.

DPSY 3413: Social Change and Development.

DPSY 3414: Community Based Organization.

DPSY 3415: Social Transformation.

DPSY 3416: Research Project.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum qualifications are KCSE C- or KCE Div. 2 or the equivalent or 3 years experience in Community Development activities.
  • Certificate in Community development, Social development, Social work, Community Health, Counseling and Psychology.
  • Course open to Beginners, Development facilitators, Project managers and Fresh students
